Life From Below- The Things You See When Perched on The Ground! June 22, 2012 Europe, Life on Campus- New York, Stop 1: USA I am not sure if I am alone in this (I don’t think I am), however I find that for some strange reason, whenever I get into ‘traveller mode’, I seem to find myself happily sitting on the ground in random places to enjoy a meal, a time out, or simply to view my surrounds. This post could possibly be showing my personality a bit too much for some, but I think Ive come to a place in my life where I am quite happy being myself, and hopefully others can appreciate me for me. Back in my home town you would never find me randomly sitting on the edge of the street (that is left for the drunk kids at the end of the night). I’ve noticed that these time outs from the hectic days of moving around have proved to provide me with some gorgeous views. I just thought I would share these for those of you who seem to be living vicariously through me at the moment. Hopefully you can associate with the floor perching, and are not completely judging me at this moment! Spring break- large stretches of sand viewed from the ground! New office outside on campus as soon as the sun came out- amazing how many people stopped to say hi and how much more relaxing it was than working inside in my dorm. Relaxing view of part of the campus on a spring afternoon College students having too much for for their own good! Gorgeous lakes in Orlando, Florida Gorgeous lakes in Orlando continued Evening shot of NYC from Queens View from sitting up on the edge of the hill my home in Biarritz, France was based looking out at the Atlantic ocean. Barcelona, Spain, relaxing sunny beach! Gorgeous architecture in Spain More architecture in Spain as the world passes you by. Amazing halls in Milan Gorgeous view from lake como Proof- me on the ground! (best seat in the house it appears) Views of our cobbled streets in Bellagio looking out at the lake Sitting by the lake in Bellagio, Italy View from the grass on a hill in one of the beautiful villas in Bellagio I still have a few more months ahead of me..who knows where else I will happily find myself sitting at random!
