Body Nourish Superfoods – #TDapproved Week 5 September 24, 2013 healthy products, nutrition, product innovation, TDapproved, weight management Body Nourish Superfoods is an amazing Australian brand I came across last year when I was looking for innovative products that fit perfectly with all the nutritional criteria I advocate, being high in protein, fibre, and antioxidants, as well as low GI and nutrient dense. The body nourish range includes a powdered high protein whole food based nutrient dense mix which is to be mixed through greek style yoghurt to ensure the end meal or snack also contains probiotics for good gut health, and added protein for satiety. They have recently added a new snack bite product to their range which also looks wonderful in relation to ingredients, protein, fibre, and calorie control; and from what I can see, they have added a couple more ingredients into their protein powder mixes to bump up the “superfood” offering they are claiming. Their protein powders are based on whey protein concentrate from New Zealand, and they contain a range of ingredients such as pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, cinnamon, blueberries, raw cacao, psyllium husk, coconut, xylitol (natural low calorie sweetener), and barberries. For more information on the ingredients and their benefits, I suggest you go over to their website. This was the nutrition information panel before adding in the Greek yoghurt, so overall it actually ends up with around 34g of protein. For anyone wanting an all natural protein supplement, that has all the added benefits of healthy fats, fat soluble vitamins, and dietary fibre, this product certainly stands out as a special one on the market. Currently they are available for purchase through their online store. By the looks on the images over on their facebook page, I am guessing a new gluten free breakfast cereal that is actually nutrient dense, could be about to hit their online store too in the near future! Until next week, Hope you enjoyed this weeks #TDapproved.
