2012 Wrap Up & 2013 Sneak Peak- Excitement Central! December 27, 2012 Australia So as we draw near the end of what has been the most amazing year I thought it was only appropriate to come back here and share with you all where things are at in the exciting world of the Travelling Dietitian. After 9 months away, I made a deal with myself to stay put for at least a few months and see what could be achieved here in my beautiful home city, Melbourne, Australia. Facebook updates have hopefully shared a snippet of all the interesting food products that have been found, the healthy easy to prepare dishes that have been made, delicious cuisine that has been tasted around town, and some of the fun social times that have been experienced! Six months of writing, teaching myself how to be a publisher, working with an amazing chef to create delicious and healthy recipes for readers across the globe, and finding amazing people who have volunteered to assist me left, right, and centre to bring this book to life (Faye Crossman and Rod Curnow as two key stand outs!), has been simply phenominal! I can’t believe that in a couple of months time I will get to add the title “author” to my achievements…I think it just goes to show that we truly are all capable of achieving whatever we put our minds to if we truly want something! The Clean Separation – Front Cover! Aside from the book I have also had the amazing experience of having the opportunity to come up with the concept and pitch a new television and online show which I seriously do hope gets the thumbs up from the networks and the sponsors! It has been so wonderful to have other people believe in my ideas, so much so that I have had a cohost fly down from Sydney, 10 or more man crew come together, major networks and potential sponsors give their time and knowledge to assist in helping me to understand what is needed to get this up off the ground, and a current pilot having been filmed to see what can actually come of it! I hope to be able to share more, and ideally show you all more, in the next few months! Shooting the Pilot Shooting the Pilot Irrespective of whether or not this truly comes to life, the experience has been out of this world, and the new skills I have attained about the media and production world are valuable and extremely eye opening. I hope that everyone else has had a wonderful Christmas or Chanukah (or simply month of December if those celebrations do not relate to you!) and that you enjoy your new years celebrations as we come closer to the conclusion of 2012. Healthy christmas food platter I think LA might be seeing a visit from me some time in the first half of 2013…so lets just watch this space! Thank you everyone again who has clicked into my blog and has shared any part of my journey this year. I hope to have inspired healthy living in some capacity! Thank you also to all the people over in the USA for being so supportive and showing me a part of the world I seriously feel at home in; and thank you to all my friends, family, and colleagues here in Australia for welcoming me home and making me feel loved and valued yet again. Celebrating what has been a great year!
